I hunt and live in the bennington county area and also hunt the zone n. The deer population is awesome. The buck to doe ratio is way out of wack. You will see 20 does to one buck. For the antler restrictions to work or to even see more bucks you must harvest does. It is very simple. The old school idea's don't work. That is a proven fact. If you want to listen to someone that hunts there here it is in black and white. There is a tons and tons of open land. large mountains that are all national forest. and miles and miles of open private land. If everyone wants to hunt the one farm where the deer stand in the field thats posted. To bad get out in the woods and do some home work. Every year that we hunt in zone n we have great success. Mostly harvesting does because the buck population is very low compared to the doe. With less does we will also see more bucks moving around instead of being shacked up in one are with ten does. Also bucks that rut for three months trying to breed to many does will kill them! With more doe harvest and more spikes being passed on, Zone N will be an area that people from all over the state and country will travel to to hunt. Don't let all the hoopla get you going until you do some research Pat.
